The new militant group operating in the oil-rich Niger Delta of Southern Nigeria, Niger Delta Avengers has dispel rumours that its website was shut down by the military who is on their trail.
However, the group seemed to have launched a new website, the new website ended with ‘org’, while the old ended with ‘com’. The new website is www.nigerdeltaavengers.org, a mirror of the old one, www.nigerdeltaavengers.com which is no longer available.
The group announced on its Twitter handle a few minutes ago Sunday, June 5, 2016saying it’s website was never shut down as reported by some news outlets, but undergoing maintenance.

IT specialists say that the militant group was using a free hosting service provided by Blogspot, a Google company and it is most likely that Google took down the website following complaints from official of the Buhari government.
It would be recall that a visit to the old website address will show you an error message, only possible if your website was hosted by Blogspot.
