Ahead the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state, one of the aspirants, Engr. Chris Osa Ogiemwonyi, has advised all groups and campaign organizations to refrain from gutter politics.

He gave the advice in a release issued in Abuja by the Director of Planning, Strategy and Operations of Ogiemwonyi Campaign Organisation, Mr. Akemokue Lukman, urging other aspirants and all other stakeholders to be civil while campaigning, adding that his campaigns would continue to be issues based and driven.

“Engr. Chris Osa Ogiemwonyi is a professional in his field and a Core Technocrat who reacts on issues based on principle to correct anomaly and to restore order. He never engages in petty blame trade or deforming the character of Edolites. He is way above that and too intelligent to be involved in an ‘agbero’ trade of words.

“Irrespective of our political divide, interests and believe system, as a true progressive and Statesman, Engr Chris Osa Ogiemwonyi believes in values, respect for our systems, culture/elders and progress of Edo people….

“He is busy making plans for the good of the people than to be engaged in petty trading of words or any form of character assassination, as some ‘gutter politician’ do just to score cheap political points,” the release added.

He stressed his commitment to govern when elected a Governor of Edo state and set the state on the right path of growth, increase and prosperity.

He, therefore, solicited the support of the delegates ahead of next Saturday’s APC governorship primary election in Benin City.
