Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari has donated food items to the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Presenting the items which include bags of rice, sugar, bournvita and cartoons of spaghetti, at the national secretariat of the party yesterday in Abuja, the president’s wife, represented by a Board of Trustee member, Nasir Dano, said the gesture was in the mood of the ongoing ramadan.
Responding, national chairman of APC, John Oyegun, who personally received the items, thanked the first lady for such gesture.
“I have been involved in some of the donations her excellency have been doing by going out of her way to solicit for support from well meaning Nigerians to affect lives positively and she is not using one single kobo of the government.
“The only assurance I will give her is that this party will stand solidly behind this government”
The food items are expected to be shared among party members in the six area council made up of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
