Ahead of the Kogi State Election Petitions Tribunal judgement set to be delivered on Monday, the Kogi state Governor Alh. Yahaya Bello has hurriedly ferried the sum of N250million this night to Abuja, the Federal Capital. Recall that, the tribunal relocated to abuja for security reasons.
The Justice Halima Muhammad, led tribunal had fixed the 6th and 7th of June 2016 as the date to enter judgement in the petitions brought by James Faleke and Capt Idris Wada respectively.
Our Kogi Government House source,a serving member of the state Assembly boasted that, the case was a forgone conclusion as they have put together a whooping 250million to prosecute the agenda.
Their anchor man, according to our source, is a Federal Executive cabinet member who is conversant with the activities in the judiciary circles.
The first tranch of the money which arrived from the Zenith Bank Lokoja was warehoused at the Presidential Lodge and another N100m was later brought in through the same bank and it has been hurriedly ferried to an unknown destination in Abuja in a Toyota Hilux van marked KGGH 58.
It is yet to be seen how this will see the light of the day as the Justice Halima Muhammad had rebuffed earlier attempts at reaching them.
