Governor Okorocha gave the assurance while speaking during the Easter service at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish Ogboko in Ideato South LGA, stressing that most Imo people have been wondering where he got the money with which he has been doing all these projects in the state and also running free education from Primary to university level and said ideas and prudence in managing the available resources have been the key.
His words, “by the grace of God I want a situation where when I leave as governor people will know that there was a governor called Rochas Okorocha who governed the state. I am fulfilling my promise of rebuilding the state. I am going to complete all my projects.”
On the Easter celebration, the governor described the period as time for love, peace and accommodation for one another, adding that the essence of Christianity is for all Christians to live life that would reflect the image of Christ.
On the relationship now between his administration and the labour union in the state, the Govenor said with the 70 – 30 per cent sharing formula between labour and government of the state’s revenue, the labour leaders have come to understand better and appreciate all that the government has been saying ever before now over the finances of the state, regretting that the labour leaders in the state allowed politicians to deceive them.
The governor reiterated that the only thing that would bring the best out of Imo state is the concessioning of indolent parastatals which he believes labour will fall back on at the end.
Governor Okorocha also said that the landmark legacies in the area of projects he is leaving behind are being replicated in all the 27 Local Governments of the state especially the hospital projects and the Free qualitative Education from Secondary to University.
