Governor Willie Obiano, former Governor, Mr. Peter Obi and Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke have condoled with The Sun Reporter, Aloysius Attah over the death of his father, Benjamin ,whose funeral holds this weekend in Aji, Enugu-Ezike, Enugu State.

In separate condolence messages sent to Attah, Governor Obiano said that he was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Pa Attah. Describing death as the “wish of some, the relief of many and the end of all”, Obiano said that the end of late Chief Attah’s life was one of such that glorifies God for a fulfilling life to good old age and most importantly for the fact that Pa Attah embraced the gospel of Jesus Christ in his old age and died a committed Christian.

While expressing deep sympathy to the family, the governor prayed that God will give Attah the comfort he deserves and grant sweet repose to the soul of the departed.

Former Governor, Mr. Peter Obi in his own condolence message said that “Undoubtedly, the loss of a loved one leaves a huge vacuum in the lives of the bereaved. Your father’s death is being felt not only by the Attah, but those who knew him when he was alive”

Obi said that while he mourns Pa Attah’s transition, he is comforted that he contributed his quota to humanity within the opportunity available to him and prayed God to grant the immediate and extended families, the fortitude to bear the great loss.

Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke in his own condolence message to Aloysius said that Pa Benjamin obviously pulled the best of his natural endowments to live a good life and be pleasant to humanity. He said that in effect, the deceased will truly be missed by the family and all those close to him considering the natural affection which a father communicates in the family.

The Archbishop noted that Pa Attah left great legacies which will help Attah to move on in the journey of faith and also said that the greatest consolation lies in the fact that Pa Attah took some share in Christ’s redemptive works and prayed that God may reward him with glorious crown among the sanctified in the kingdom of heaven even as he assured the family of his spiritual closeness with them at their moment of grief.
