Renewed Cult Clash In Enugu Two Feared Dead

There is palpable tension in Enugu metropolis following an alleged killing of two people at Marcus Gavie street, New Haven in a renewed cult clashes said to have started Wednesdayevening.

An eyewitness told our reporter that he was at joint drinking around 6pm when a young man of about 30 was being pushed and shooting him by another young man of the same age.

“I felt that the young man is an armed rubber and is being pushed by the dreaded police squad (SARS) until when his victim feel down and had no bullet again in the gun. He then took a bottle, broke and used to stab him.

“He shout before he left Ayia, you baga die !”, the eyewitness told.

Enugu metropolis have been clam for sometime now but with resurgences of cult war, night life would be greatly affected.

Though police could not confirm the renewed cult clashes, it was gathered that the residents no longer stay outside beyond 7pm a situation it was gathered have hampered evening businesses at the area.

Our correspondent learnt the renewed cult war is between the Neo-Black Movement of Africa (also called Black Axe), and the Brotherhood of the Blood (also known as Two-Two (Black Beret).

A security personnel told our reporter that one  two of the slain cultist were killed at Ugboye in Abakpa Nike, Enugu East council area.

The source said: “since the renewed clash the residents have no known no peace”.

It was gathered that one of the victim of the attack who was rushed at undisclosed hospital is still coma.

When the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ebere Amaraizu was contacted in test message replied that “no such report before us.”
