The final results of the Bayelsa state governorship supplementary election has been won by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) winning with a great margin in the four out of the six local government areas of the state, while APC won in two local governments.
The very controversial Southern Ijaw local government area was won by PDP with a total 23081 votes against the APC which had 10216 votes. The total votes cast in Southern Ijaw was 34534.
However, a total number of 39679 were cancelled in the Southern Ijaw local government, while in Koluama of the same local government, voting did not take place due to the late arrival of materials in the area.
In other six local government areas that were announced area in the day, the result were also in favor of the PDP and the result was thus:
In Yenagoa local government Area, PDP won with 839 votes while APC got 448 votes. In Ogbia, PDP got 1290 while APC got 139 votes. In Brass, PDP got 05, while APC got 1679. In Sagbama, PDP got 180 while APC got 119 votes.
Other two local governments of Nembe and Ekeremor were won by the PDP with many cancellations of registration units. In Nembe, PDP got 1160 while APC got 1400. In Ekeremor, PDP got 2695 while APC got 257.
However, the APC party agent, Mr. Dennis Otiotio complained that most of the cancelled registration areas were the APC strongholds, saying the party would not accept the results. Over 6, 000 votes were cancelled in Ekeremor.
He said there was a deliberate attempt to delay the materials from Koluama because the PDP know that the area is a very serious strong hold of the APC.
In his defense, the PDP party agent, Hon. Fred Agbedi said his party would still contest the remaining votes that the APC won even from the last 5th December election, saying the two local governments that the APC won was due to their violence nature.
He contended that the remaining votes pshould be ceded to PDP because Bayelsa state is entirely PDP, and wondered why the APC should win any of the local governments in the state.
The INEC Commissioner in the state, Baridah Kpagih is yet to make his speech as at the time of filling this report.

Governor Seriake Dickson of the PDP won with a total number of 134998 votes to beat Chief Timipre Sylva of APC who scored 86852 votes.
The Returning Officer, Professor Akpagu Zana, declared Dickson the winner, saying having satisfied by the law, I hereby declare him the winner.
