In his desperation to upturn justice and remain in Taraba State Government House at the helm of affairs, the embattled Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku is alleged to have approved the release of N150million from public funds to one Mr. Victor Bala believed to be Taraba State PDP chairman for disbursement to corrupt judges that may be willing to twist justice to favor him against the wish of the majority.

A source close to Taraba State Government House, revealed to 247ureports on condition of anonymity, that the alleged money, was delivered to the Jalingo residence of Victor Bala at about 1600hrs (4.00pm) on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 by three Taraba State Government House Accounts section staff led by a Principal Accountant, Galiya. The other two accompanying staff; Joel and Bala who are cashiers from the accounts section were in custody of the money suspected to be for bribe to judges handling cases involving the governor and their PDP.

The source revealed that the N150million is suspected to be for greasing the palms of willing judges for the January 25, 2016 case now pending in Yola High Court challenging the eligibility of Darius Ishaku as PDP gubernatorial candidate for the April gubernatorial election as challenged by APC gubernatorial candidate, Honorable A’ishatu Jummai Alhassan, now Minister for Women Affairs.

“The case is coming up on January 25, 2016 at Yola High Court. PDP did not hold a credible primary election in the state as we are all living witnesses. Darius Ishaku was fraudulently imposed on the party and subsequently imposed on the people as a governor by INEC. We are challenging the circumstance that brought Darius to be the PDP gubernatorial flag bearer in the election.

“Darius Ishaku was a product of fraud and Taraba state cannot tolerate such a corrupt situation. PDP from its myopic thinking thought of winning the presidential election but the electorates consigned it to the bottom pit of hell. Taraba is determined to get rid of any product of fraud to strengthen the records” he said.

What was not made clear to 247ureports as of the time of filing this report is whether the N150million in custody of Victor Bala include settling judges of the Supreme Court to follow suit in arm-twisting justice or it was only for those judges in Yola, suspected to have displayed their price tag with Darius Ishaku and his co-conspirators against democracy ready to settle the price for stay-in-office.

Disturbed by the development, a chieftain of APC in Taraba State who craved for anonymity said “Darius Ishaku is only buying time and trying to perfect fraud although that is the trade mark of their party, PDP. He inwardly knows that PDP never conducted any gubernatorial primary election as stipulated by law. Those to be delegates for the primary election are around to testify against him but he is still determined to hold to his forgery. He is a product of fraud. He was neither elected by PDP delegates nor Tarabians as their governor. Let that man try to repent than remaining in a world of illusion. PDP is now history. We have consigned PDP to the dustbin of history and never to resurrect. Darius should follow PDP into oblivion and allow peace in a chance in Taraba state”.

Meanwhile, APC stalwarts in Taraba state have started trooping to Yola to wait for the January 25 verdict of the court against what they called, ‘attempt to murder democracy in broad day light’ by champions of fraud masquerading as democrats.

In a related development, EFCC operatives have stormed Taraba State to fish out the criminals hiding in the various Local Government Councils masquerading as officials while systematically stealing and diverting public funds.

A source in Taraba state revealed that so far, the anti-corruption agency has visited Kurmi. Donga and Sardauna local governments in an effort to arrest thieves of public funds while making arrangements to  visit other areas suspected to harbor criminals of public funds including those diverting council funds to the Darius Ishaku fruitless effort to twist justice as earlier reported by 247ureports involving Jalingo Local Government Council chairman.
