The All Progressives Congress, APC, Kwara State chapter has said the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and the Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed share cordial and fraternal relationship as against rumour of purported rift in a section of the media.
In a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, the party dismissed the purported rift between Senate President Bukola Saraki and Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed as untrue and unfounded.
“The leadership of All Progressives Congress in Kwara State has noted a report published by a national newspaper which insinuated a purported rift between the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and the Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed.
“For the records, our party wishes to state that no such rift exist between our party leaders. Therefore, since there exist no rift, the claim of imaginary disquiet within our party in Kwara State can not stand the test of logic and truthfulness.
“Obviously, the unpopular report was fuelled by gossips as stated in the report. It smacks of fictions and devoid facts. Infact, the report lacks credibility and the intention remains suspicious.
“The duo of Senate President Bukola Saraki and Governor Abdulfatah share cordial and fraternal relationship. It is the best form of relationship that could exist between a predecessor and a successor. This relationship is bounded by their affinity for the people of Kwara State and their commitments to the growth of our dear state.
“Thus, the pervading peace in Kwara State is not threatened and the people of Kwara State are urged to disregard such baseless rumour as it lacks any iota of credibility, the statement read.
