The Police in Abia state, have arrested two armed robbery suspects who attacked a poultry feed shop and shot a woman on the chest at Umuokahia in Obingwa local government area.
The suspects were said to have invaded the shop at about 3.45pm and were engaged by the Police they attempted to escape.
Among those nabbed by the Police include; Wisdom Ubazuruoha and Okechukwu Kalu Okorie, while a third member of the gang, Starboy escaped with one of their guns. A locally made revolver pistol was recovered from the suspects at the scene of the incident.
Police Public Relations Officer, Abia state Command, Mr. Ezekiel Onyeke, who confirmed the incident said the suspects are being detained at the Eastern Ngwa Police Division, Umuobiakwa while the woman who sustained gunshot injury from the attack has been responding to treatment at an undisclosed hospital in the area.
Onyeke added that the Police has launched a manhunt for Starboy, and appealed to the public to assist with useful information which will lead to his arrest.
