Hundreds of supporters of the pro Biafra groups on Thursday marched along the major streets of Owerri calling for the release of Mr Nnamdi Kanu, the alleged mastermind of Radio Biafra.

The demonstrators comprising the members of Movement for the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Indigenous People of Biafra among others were chanting different pro-Biafra songs and other war songs.
Our reporter who monitored the demonstrators reports that armed security operatives like police, Navy and army were seen accompanying the demonstrators in their pick-up vans.
Some of the demonstrators told journalists that the agitation was for the federal to release Kanu unconditionally and allow Biafra people freedom.
They said that it was wrong for the federal government and her security agents to arrest Kanu because he supports and believe in the freedom of Biafra people.
