The police in Aba, Abia state have arrested a middle aged man identified as Anthony Gabriel for allegedly attempting to sell a Hiace Toyota bus belonging to his employer.

 

247ureports.com gathered that Gabriel who reside at No. 11 Dokoroma Street, off Trans-Amadi, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, drove the Hiace bus with registration number, Lagos State, AGL 803 XM to Aba, Abia State in search of a potential buyer before luck ran out on him following his arrest by the police.

 

Police sources said Gabriel was arrested while negotiating to sell the car, while his employer who also owns the car has been contacted and told the police that he sent his driver (the suspect) on errand but didn’t know he diverted the car to Aba.

 

It was also gathered that the suspect planned to sell the car to anyone who was willing to offer him Two Hundred Thousand Naira, N200, 000.

 

Abia state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ezekiel Onyeke who confirmed the arrest, and added that the suspect and the stolen bus have been transferred to Elelenwo Police Station in Port Harcourt where the missing car was initially reported.
