Former Chief of Staff to erstwhile Governor of Delta State, Chief Paulinus Ugo Akpeki, Wednesday, took Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, to the cleaners, saying Igbuya lacks good sense of reasoning, following his unguarded statements and assaults on the immediate past Governor of the state, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
Akpeki, a former Governing Council Chairman to the State School of Health and later Commissioner for Housing before rounding off as Chief of Staff, went livid as he reeled out the questionable conduct of the Speaker in an interview in Sapele, the country home of Rt. Hon. MondayIgbuya.
Akpeki, who was very outspoken in the eight years administration of Uduaghan in Delta, said Igbuya’s reasoning faculty was questionable, as “he is going about telling people that Uduaghan did not commission Sapele Market before he left office. I do not know what sense of reasoning Igbuya is made of. As the Speaker, I expected him to have good level of reasoning as the number three citizen of Delta State”.

He also said Igbuya was part of why Sapele Stadium has not been completed today, just as he said Uduaghan has done all he could to make the stadium  a success, but was only waiting for the installation of flood light before commissioning, but this could not be before he left office on May 29, 2015.
He said Igbuya’s kind of politics was a disappointment to the people of Sapele whom he claimed to have voted for him into the state House of Assembly for the third term.
Against the disturbing statements from Igbuya that Uduaghan did not execute any meaningful project in Sapele, Akpeki said Uduaghan did all he could for the people of Sapele, but all the projects were tied to Igbuya, including those of the Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOOPADEC).
This means they were hijacked by Igbuya and executed at his whims and caprices, hence, he could sum up courage to accuse Uduaghan of not executing any project in his Sapele State constituency.
Akpeki said “Virtually all the government projects in Sapele are tied to Igbuya including DESOPADEC projects. The school desks and table projects in Sapele, it was all Igbuya. In fact, from road projects to water, street light projects, drainages, all was tied Igbuya. I want the Sapele people to find out the original owner of a company called Moovig.  It is Igbuya, yet he is crucifying Uduaghan’s government unjustly. This is why I keep advising government not to appoint or vote contractors into power.
“My experience as a Commissioner for Housing has taught me this. May be, I would have done same, that is, contracting project for myself during this period I was Commissioner if I were contractor like Igbuya and others, who are in government to contract projects for themselves.  For this singular reason, I wish to advise Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to be wary of those he allows to shout Hosanna so that at the end, they will not say crucify him. Because those that sat beside Uduaghan yesterday, chanting Asamaigor, are the same persons demanding his crucifixion today”.
