Bauchi chapter of Credible Alternative Alliance, CAA, has cautioned those aggrieved Senators parading themselves as foot-soldiers of the embattled Senate President Bukola Saraki to be cautious against overheating the polity or their actions may eventually consume them and derail transparency and probity in governance.
In a press release made available to journalists, spokesman of the NGO, Sanusi Muhammad, said the law should be allowed to take its cause without minding whose ox may be goared if the change philosophy of the ruling party is real.
According to him, APC as the ruling party that was voted to correct the ills bedeviling the society should not be threatened or intimidated by agents of corruption now battling the odds to protect Bukola Saraki, “why should there be any threat to the unity of APC? Why should President Buhari intervene in a case of fraud? Let the law take its’ cause”, he said
Muhammad added that the survival of Nigeria on a decent foundation of transparency, probity and justice is far above any parochial interest, saying most of those senators striving to protect Saraki have pending cases at ICPC and EFCC while others have since lost credibility and integrity but tolerated by the electorates for selfish interest.
