Suicide bomber belonging to the Boko haram Islamic group blew himself up and killed at least 20 people on Tuesday inside a crowded livestock market in Maiduguri, a local vigilante and Police official said
Over 25 peoples also suffered various degree of injuries and have been taken to the hospital says Ibrahim Abdullahi, a local vigilante official in Maiduguri who participate in the evacuation of the injured people said on phone today.

” I and some of my colleagues counted about 20 dead bodies and also assisted to convey over 25 seriously injured people to the hospital ” adding ” the death toll is likely to increase because of the sever nature of the injuries sustained ” Abdullahi said
Police Commissioner in Maiduguri Aderemi Opadokun who confirmed the incident however put the death toll at four and said eight others sustained injury.
” Suspected Suicide Bombing at Kasua Shanu in Maiduguri and was shouting ‘”SaiBuhari” (singing praises of President Buhari) and dancing in the market and detonated IED strapped on his body when people had gathered around him.
” Four persons died including the suicide bomber in the explosion while eight sustained injuries , Men were mobilized to the scene ,corpses/injured persons were evacuated to d Hospital while Investigation is in progress ” Opadokun said on phone today
Residents of Maiduguri had woken to sound of bombs from different parts of the city but no casualty was reported.
” we had bomb blast from different directions last night, many of us could not sleep as we fear the terrorists have come to attack Maiduguri again ” Salisu Ahmed a resident of Maiduguri said.
