Igbo Youths under the aegis of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC) has recommended former governors of Abia, Rivers, and Anambra states; Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Rotimi Amaechi and Dr. Chris Ngige to President Muhammadu Buhari for appointment as Secretary to the Federal Government, Chief of Staff to the President and Minister of Health, respectively.
Addressing newsmen in Umuahia, National President of OYC, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, described the three APC chieftains as patriots who worked assiduously for the party’s victory in the last general elections.
“We are appealing to President Muhammadu Buhari to consider Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Chief Rotimi Amaechi and Dr. Chris Ngige for appointment as SGF, Chief of Staff and Minister of Health, respectively. These three patriots have the capacity to assist the president realize his vision for a better Nigeria. Again, they worked tirelessly for the victory of the APC; we want the President to consider them for appointment into these positions because we know they will add value to his administration.”
The group also called on Buhari to be courageous in carrying out the anti-corruption war he promised Nigerians to a logical conclusion as corruption has brought sorrow to Nigeria.
Ohanaeze youths also pleaded with the President to complete the Enugu International Airport, second Niger bridge, dilapidated roads in the south east and implementation of the Confab decisions especially the creation of an additional state for the south east zone.
