Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of jigawa state has approved the appointment of Alh. Abdulkadir F. Adamu as the Secretary to the state government. Also accused past government of PDP for awarding excessive white elephant projects.
In a statement issued and signed by the Permanent secretary Govt. House, Dutse, Alh. Sambo Mohammed stated the appointment and all dissolutions of political appintments was with immediate effect.
A seasoned Administrator, Adamu was until his new appointment was the Accountant, and Head of Administration in the Corporte Affairs Commission, (CAC) Abuja.
The statement stated that all political appointees stand dissolved, alongside with all Education Secretaries in all the 27 local government areas across jigawa state. Also dissolved are all Hajj center officers in the 27 councils in jigawa state.
In a related development, Governor Badaru Abubakar had pledged to review the 2015 Jigawa state Budget to conform with people’s oriented needs and wants of the jigawa populace, and accused past government for misplacement of priorities.
In his inuagural speech shortly after taking oath of office,accused past government for awarding excessive white elephant project, situation which he said must be halt.
“Ours must reflect people’s needs and wants, assuring we shall focus only on projects that has direct bearing on the people, and not white cooler projects”
He re-iterated that APC government will accord priority attention to Agriculture, Power, and Human Development for self reliance on the jigawa populace.
