With the recent embarrassment served the Buhari team over the overzealous reactions to the crew of the African International Television [AIT], the President – Elect of the federal republic of Nigeria, General [Malam] Mohammadu Buhari has opted to rejig his media team in order to avoid a repeat of the same mistake in the future – particularly as his tenure officially begins May 29, 2015.
According to the information available to 247ureports.com, three persons have expressed prior interest in becoming the official spokesperson for the President-Elect – namely – Dele Momodu, Dele Alake and Garba Shehu. But in light of the recent development, the President – Elect has expressed his desire to go with none of the three men – but to select a neutral person who is not affiliated with any of the northern politicians or All Progressive Congress [APC] chieftains in the likes of Abubakar Atiku or Bola Tinubu.
The President Elect is reported to prefer Femi Adesina of the Sun Newspapers to head his media team.
Femi Adesina enjoys a close relationship with the President-Elect. Femi, during the presidential campaign period, dedicated his back-page column to General Buhari. General [Malam] Buhari is even reported to have personally attended the burial ceremony of Femi Adesina’s mother recently. The two have been good friends.
