Imo Indigenes in London Boo, Reject Okorocha

Imo state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha  was at the week end  yelled at, booed  and  assaulted at Chatham House, London  by Imo indigenes who addressed him in unprintable words.

Okorocha was in London to rally support of Nigerians in England  for the All Progressives Congress  and for  himself as he is seeking a  re-election  ahead of the  general elections slated for March and April.

Other APC leaders who were in London to mobilize support for the party included; the presidential candidate,  General Muhammadu Buhari, national leader of the party, Senator Bola Tinubu, Edo state Governor, Adams Oshiomhole and a host of others.

According to eye witness account when Okorocha arrived Chetham House, London, venue of the rally he met to his chagrin placards- carrying Imo indigenes chanting solidarity  songs to express their disapproval of his visit.

The eye witness stated that immediately he alighted from the taxi that brought him, some Imo indigenes rushed to shove him and informed him that they were not prepared to listen to his speech.
They accused him openly of mismanaging Imo funds and misruling the state wondering why he wanted to address them.
 “Shouting on top of their voices they abused Okorocha, calling him all sorts of unprintable names dehumanizing of a street person not to talk of a state Governor”, the eye witness said.
According to him, it was the timely intervention of other APC leaders and Hon Emeka Nwajuba, former member of the House of Representatives that saved the day.
Hon Nwajuba was said to have addressed the Imo indigenes, appealing to them to shield their sword and  for understanding
