Just days to the general elections in the country, alignment of some
sorts are beginning to surface in Adamawa.
In Adamawa state, four out of ten parties contesting the governorship
elections in the state on Thursday (today) at a press conference held
at Jireh suites declared their support for the candidature of Malam
Nuhu Ribadu of the People Democratic Party (PDP).
The four parties who resolved to go into this alliance are the APGA,
KOWA, NCP and the MPPP parties.
Spokesman for the group Abdulnasir Hamman of the Mega Progressive
Peoples Party disclosed that their decision to do so was propelled by
the desire to put in place a credible government that people would be
proud of in Adamawa state.
According to them, they found credible quality leadership in Mallam
Ribadu hence the decision to support him.
On their earlier support for Dr. Ahmed Modibbo of the People
Democratic Movement the group said they were earlier misled.
