A female suicide bomber in her early twenties blew her self up on Tuesday and killing 11 others at the entrance of Maiduguri Monday Market – where insurgents had killed dozens over the weekend.
The suicide bomber hid the explosives under her hijab and tried to break security checks at the entrance of the Market before the bomb exploded, Bakura Baba, a local vigilante official told 247ureports.com.
” we counted 12 dead bodies including that of the female suicide bomber; most of the victims body parts were scattered around the market entrance.
” 21 people also sustained severe injury and have been taken to the hospital ” Baba said.
Another disaster was averted today when security operatives were quickly alerted of bomb dropped by a suspected Boko Haram member around the densely populated Babanlayi area of the state capital – not far from Monday market.
” we were so lucky to have alerted the Police of the explosive believed to have been dropped by a suspected suicide bomber ” a resident said
Also, a group of Boko Haram terrorists had at the early hours of Tuesday attacked and killed 8 travelers after their cars was snatched.
” the terrorists disguised as horsemen and pretended cross the Maiduguri – Damaturu high way before the killed the innocent travelers” a villager said
