Unidentified gunmen on Sunday abducted one of the aid of the Rivers state Governor,  Mr Freddy Ndigbara, in Kaani Community , Khana local government area.
Mr. Ndigbara is an anchorman to Governor Chibuike Amaechi events inside and outside government House.
According to information reaching 247ureports.com, Freeddi  as his popularly called was accosted by the gunmen during a ward rally organized by the All Progressive Congress in the area and forced into a car.
Narrating the ordeal, an eyewitness explained that the gunmen stormed the rally with a red Toyota Highlander sports utility vehicle made a search and forced him into the car.
He further explained that the kidnappers stormed the place when organizers  was arranging canopies at the rally venue.
Reacting to the incident in a telephone chat with this medium, Chief Press Secretary to the Rivers State Governor Mr. David Iyofor called for the immediate, unconditional release of Mr. Ndigbara.
He further called on the law enforcement agencies to fish out those responsible for the kidnap and ensure Mr. Freddy Ndigbara is released unharmed.”I strongly condemn this dastardly act and call on the abductors to release him immediately and unconditionally. Mr Freddy Ndigbara is a civil servant working in the Press Unit of Government House. Why would anyone think of kidnapping him? Let me also use this opportunity to call on the Police and other security agencies to see to the rescue of this gentleman and fish out those behind this inhuman act.”Iyofor said..
