Group Charges IGP, SSS Over Security of Moro and Mark

A civil rights group National Democratic Front (NDF), has petitioned the Nigerian Police and State Security Service over the security of the lives of the Minister for Internal Affairs, Comr. Abba Morro and the Senate President, Sen. David Mark.
This was contained in a petition which was made available to our reporter, which claimed mischief makers had concretised plans to organise a protest against the persons of the Senate President and the Minister of Interior.

“We write to bring to your knowledge the issue of the security and lives of the Senate President of Nigeria, Sen. David Mark and the Minister of Interior, Comr. Abba Moro”. The petition read.

It also divulged that a group of miscreants and mischief makers had concretised plans to organise a protest against the persons of the Senate President and the Minister of Interior.

According to the coordinator of the Forum, Comr. Philip Agbese, the mischief makers have also set out to lead propaganda against the Minister to whip up public sentiments against him and his office basing their protest and propaganda on the ill fated immigration recruitment which went awry.

While accusing the opposition of being behind the plot, they claimed the opposition is ready to do anything to snatch power and thus fear that those they have recruited certain individuals to attack and even take the lives of these public officers.

The group thus called on the security agencies to take proactive steps to ensure no harm befalls the public officers.

“It is on the backdrop of the forgone that we deem it fit to approach your good office to nip this potential threat in the bud and prevent further questions. We hereby call on Inspector General to immediately arrest such persons when they come out and also investigate their sponsors who have vowed to destroy the hope of the Idoma of Benue State. It said.
