The extremist group Boko Haram are apparently on the loosing end and
this fact is based on the manner they have carried out their latestĀ attacks.
As 247ureports.com learnt, the speed by which they have engaged in
responses to successes being recorded by Nigerian troops and the joint
efforts of Cameroon, Chad and Niger Republic attested to the desperation levels within the group..
Findings reveal that within a spate of two months, the leader of the
insurgents Abubakar Shekau has responded annoyingly to each success of
Federal troops by being more vicious in his threats.
Also analyzing this, a lawyer who would not want his name revealed
said when a man becomes vicious and speak with no regard to his cause,
it exposesĀ flaws and weaknesses.
āRemember, when the insurgents were holding sway, you hardly see the
leader speaking as if he has lost total senses but now, you see him or
hear him talking like a dejected failureā, said the lawyer.
According to the Barrister, each time the insurgents are chased from
an area, they run away but reply back with a fury on the poor masses.
Responding to a question, the Barrister said for example, if the Boko
Haram insurgents were that powerful as they were from the beginning
President Goodluck Jonathan and Mohammadu Buhari would – for one – never
succeeded in their campaign especially in Borno.
āEven though there was an alleged bomb blast, it came only after they
left the scene, so you see the insurgents do not co-ordinate well
anymore because they are loosing steamā, he stressed.
Another fact he revealed is the release of some of their victims from
their camps.
According to the Barrister, they (insurgents) are fast running out of
food and that probably explains why they at times play Robin Hood.
Another man Ahmed Tela opined that the insurgents only succeed in
killing the vulnerable while fleeing to their hide outs.
For example he said, they use the Garkida-Hawul-Biu axis more
frequently and this is because troops are yet to be deployed in their
numbers to man these areas.
He then suggested that federal troops should be more vigilant by
stopping all trucks headed towards the trouble zone since it is
suspected that these trucks have more or less been supplying food,
medics and other necessities to the nations enemies.
Already, Nigeria troops have recaptured allĀ the local government
areas taken over by the insurgents except for the mop up operation
going on in Michika and Madagali local government areas.
