Abia Guber: Abians in the Diaspora Endorse Ikpeazu

Abians in the UK, Ireland and Europe have endorsed Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D as the next Governor of Abia State after an extensive review of all the candidates jostling for Abia Governorship position in the forthcoming 2015 elections.

The group led by Mr Uche , pledged their total support for Okezie Ikpeazu governorship ambition. According to the group, having read and studied the development blue prints and policies of Okezie Ikpeazu, considering his past antecedents, exceptional humility and demonstrated commitment to the further growth and development of Abia State, the group considered it “very imperative to endorse the Abia State PDP governorship aspirant for the coveted seat”.

As a further show of support, the group donated some campaign materials
to Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D. Responding to the group, Dr Ikpeazu applauded and appreciated the association’s gesture while reaffirming that his administration shall include Abians in the Diaspora. He said that
“Continuity drives development. You cannot abandon the already built infrastructures for new ones, our administration shall improved on already developed infrastructures by Governor T.A Orji”.

The Abia PDP Governorship candidate, Okezie Ikpeazu informed the delegation of his plan to develop a Diasporan village in Umuahia. He urged the group to continue to represent the state well by living lives worthy of emulation. Dr Ikpeazu also informed his visitors that his administration is committed to urgently ensuring that Aba becomes the “Japan of Africa” through the development of necessary infrastructure that will support the people to unleash their entrepreneurial spirit and export leather products and textiles to other African countries. He promised to provide the enabling resources that will help Aba tailors and designers to compete favorably with major international labels.
