Minister of State for Education, Prof. Viola Onwuliri says only President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP can hold the unity of Nigeria.

She urged on Imo citizens and Nigerians in general to vote massively for President Jonathan and the PDP in the coming presidential election slated for February 14, 2015 describing the President as being passionate about the unity of this nation.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Onwuliri made the call during the presentation of the late Professor Celestine Onwuliri Foundation, PROFOUND, and the 2014 Eze Cletus and Ugoeze Dorathy Oparaoji Memorial Educational Foundation, ECUDOMEF scholarship awards and free medical care for the rural communities held in Mbaise, Imo state on December 31st 2014,

She stated that President Jonathan has transformed Nigeria beyond expectation via his transformation agenda pointing out that the administration has continued to promote unity and quality education at all levels.

According to her, the Federal Government has spent heavily on education with Imo State among the benefitting states topping the list.

The minister explained that what the state government claim to be doing on education and other sectors stem largely from the large-hearted disposition of the current federal administration led by President Goodluck Jonathan.

“The Federal Government has spent more money in education than Imo State Govt” she stated.

According to her each of these projects cost N40.4 million, “what the Federal Government does is to give the state the money, they engage their own contractors, but unfortunately in Imo State you give them the money they engage their contractors, they claim our projects, nobody tells the people this is President Jonathan’s projects”, “that is deceitful”,  she added
