Abia State governor, Chief Theodore Orji says the PDP candidate for the 2015 governorship election, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu if elected, will take the state to greater heights
Orji who stated this while addressing the Abia PDP campaign flag off for Abia North senatorial zone at Ohafia, described Ikpeazu as a man of integrity as well as an intellectual giant whose great ideas will bring meaningful development to the state.
The governor commended the people for their unflinching support, assured that the PDP candidate if elected would deliver good governance to take the state to the next level.
In his speech, the PDP governorship candidate, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu disclosed that he has well developed agricultural programme which will revamp the economy of the state and called for the sustained support of the people.
“I am aware that there are liberation farms in Abia state which was initially designed for the 17 local governments in the state. But Abia North under my administration will be given priority in our bid to make agriculture the mainstay of the economy of our great state. The agriculture we are talking about in Abia North is that which will have value chain; we are going to process our agricultural produce to get other valuable products.”
He urged the residents of the state to vote for the candidates of the PDP on 14th and 28th February, adding that the party boasts of great programmes which will impact positively on the people.
