Two Guber Candidates Emerge For APGA In Imo

The Imo State chapter of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, has produced two governorship candidates during two parallel governorship primaries conducted by the two factions in the party.

At the primary election conducted by the Peter Ezeobi-led faction of APGA at Rosy Arts Theatre, Owerri, former minister of interior, Captain Emmanuel Ihenacho was declared winner with 972 votes.

In the election which was participated by all the governorship aspirants, the results showed that Ihenacho got 972, Okey Eze polled 44, while Mazi Okechukwu Unegbu got three votes to bring up the rear.

In the other congress held immediately after behind NUT building along Port Harcourt Road, Owerri, Mr. Okey Eze won with 789 votes to beat his closest rival, Mazi Okechukwu Unegbu who scored 37 votes while Captain Ihenacho scored 24 votes.
