Pomp As Madumere Inspects Erosion Site, Road Projects In Mbieri

Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere’s convoy made a brief stop to acknowledge cheers from people of Obazu along Nkwo Orji-Obazu-Orie Mbieri Road in Mbaitoli Local Government yesterday while inspecting government’s projects

It was a show of gratitude yesterday to Imo State Government led by Owelle Rochas Okorocha when Prince Eze Madumere, Deputy Governor of Imo State  visited an erosion site at Umueze-Obazu Mbieri.

 

Prince Madumere had responded promptly to a call on ecological problem in Mbieri, which may jeopardize the co-existence of communities in Obazu Mbieri and ultimately affect their social, economic and political life.

 

Prince Madumere who is fondly called Ogbuhuruzo by his people after inspecting the magnitude of the erosion and its effect on the community, promised them of government immediate response towards checking the erosion before it becomes unmanageable.

 

He appealed to the people to remain calm as the government has directed the agency on ecological issues, NEWMAP, for their time intervention.

 

In an effort to avert envisaged flood problem from the construction of Nkwo-Orji-Obazu Orie Mbieri Road, which has a dual drainage system, the best deputy governor in the South East also assured the people that Gov. Okorocha who is their friend and brother will gracious see reason to approve so as to channel the water to Okatankwo River. He said the effort is to ensure that Afor Obazu and Umueze Obazu are free from the ravage of the flood.

Achi Mbieri born United States trained technocrat who came in company of Engr. Osuji Okechukwu, a representative of the contracting firm, assured the excited people of Mbieri that had gathered around him of the completion of all projects in Mbaitoli and other parts of Imo State in good time.

 

Speaking in appreciation, Ochi Obodo of Umuchoke, High Chief Eddy Igbonagwam showered encomium on Owelle Rochas Okorocha led administration for its monumental feat. He particularly hailed Madumere for his effort in attracting the attention of the Governor for the rehabilitation of Nkwo Orji-Obazu-Orie Mbieri Road, which was abandoned for close to two decades. He assured Prince Madumere whom he described as a worthy son hundred percent of their votes.

 

In the same vein, Ochi Obodo of Umueze Obazu, Chief Iheanyi Oparaojiaku who could not hide his excitement hailed Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s administration as the best so far witnessed in Imo State. He thanked the government for free education and other life changing programmes while assuring their unity in supporting a progressive government that has done so much in a short short time.

Chief Oparaojiaku also pleaded with the government to ensure that her plan to create a water way that will empty the water from the drainage being constructed are completed before the rains while promising the readiness of their people to do whatever that is expected of them in support of Owelle Rochas Okorocha and their son Madumere.

 

Others who spoke from Obazu were Mr. William Obirichianwe and Paul Onunwa who also commended overall  performance of the State Government.

 

In appreciation of the people’s Positive comments on Owelle Rochas Okorocha led administration, Chief Uche Mba, Adviser to the Deputy Governor on CGC and Projects, who spoke on behalf of the Deputy Governor called on the people to continue to support a progressive government that has remembered them especially the people of Mbaitoli and every home in the State.

 

He also canvassed for their votes for All Progressives Cngress at all levels so as to change the country for the better.
