The war between the stakeholders in Adamawa State and the National
body of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is far from over if
decisions spelled out by the PDP stakeholders in the state is anything
to go by.
At an emergency stakeholders meeting held at the PDP state secretariat
and presided over by its embattled chairman Chief Joel Madaki,
stakeholders see the suspension clamped on the former chairman of the
Party Alhaji Bamanga Tukur as null and void and of no effect.
They also see the suspension of the State chairman Chief Joel Madaki
and its secretary Barrister A.T. Shehu as null, void and of no effect.
The stakeholders also strongly condemn the undue interference of
Ambassador Hassan Tukur a public servant and Principal Secretary to
Mr. President for instigating the PDP National Chairman Alhaji Adamu
Muazu to destabilize PDP in Adamawa State.
The Stakeholders also described the lack of recognition of His
Excellency Barrister Bala Ngilari as the leader of the party by the
National Working Committee as unjust and unfair to the party and its
stakeholders.
“We want His Excellency Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as the National
leader of the party to call them to order and distance himself from
their reign of impunity which will adversely affect the electoral
fortunes of the party”, they stressed.
According to the Adamawa State Working committee of the state,
disciplinary action will be taken against these renegade members.
The communiqué pointed out that none of its delegates will participate
at the delegates election planned for Abuja.
The communiqué which was signed by Professor Andrawus Sawa, chairman,
Alhaji Dauda Birma, Senator Grace Bent, Senator Abubakar Girei and Sam
Zadok called for the dispatch of materials and the electoral panel for
conduct of the election’s here in Adamawa state.
In separate comments, Alhaji Ahmed Modibbo calls for the
ex-communication of any local government chairman or delegate who goes
to Abuja while Awwal Bamanga Tukur noted that a cat pushed to the wall
could react violently.
It would be recalled that all has not been well with the PDP in
Adamawa and the resultant effect is the suspension by the National
working Committee (NWC) of some key personalities.
Our Correspondent reports that the PDP primaries for State Assembly
scheduled to have held on December I was said to have been manipulated
so as to favour a particular candidate which the state chapter is
kicking against.
It got to a head when Ambassador Tin Ihemadu alleged being kidnapped
when his committee came to conduct elections for the House of
Assembly.
