The Presidential Candidate of the United Progressive Party (UPP) has emerged. He is Chief (Dr) CHEKWAS OKORIE. His Running Mate is Barrister Bello Umar. This was announced at the National Convention of the Party held at Binez Hotel Aba, Abia State today the 11th day of December, 2014.
The UPP Flags were presented to the Gubernatorial Candidates of the Party as follows: Dr. Osmond Ukanacho is the Imo gubernatorial Candidate. Dr. Chris Akomas, the former Abia Deputy Governor emerged the UPP Gubernatorial Candidate for Abia State.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.Hajiya Binta Gwarzo Rufai, the only Female Governorship Candidate from Kano State was also presented with UPP Flag to take off her campaign activities in Kano State.
The positions of all the National Working Committee (NWC) members of the Party were also ratified at the Convention.
The National Convention was monitored by INEC led by Prof. Jacobs Jatau, the  Abia State Resident Electoral Commissioner.
