Governor James Bala Ngillari of Adamawa state has assured the Peoples
Democratic Party candidate for the State Malam Nuhu Ribadu of his
total commitment and support in the forthcoming 2015 general
elections.
Malam Nuhu Ribadu was picked from controversial primaries of the party
in Abuja amidst protests by stakeholders of the party in Adamawa
State.
Some of the aggrieved party members have left for other political
parties in protest in what many of them say was an impunity by the
National headquarters of the party in Abuja.
Our correspondent reports that on arrival from Abuja in a chattered flight,
Malam Nuhu Ribadu and thousands of his supporters went straight to
Government House Yola to pay a courtesy call on Governor Ngillari.
According to the Governor while receiving the party’s’ candidate, said
the party cannot afford to lose the Government House adding the PDP is
the only party with the right manifesto.
The Governor who had lost out to Ribadu in the quest for 2015 said he
has since taken everything n good faith and has resolved to work hard
in ensuring victory in the forthcoming election.
Earlier, the PDP candidate assured that he will carry all aggrieved
members along for the success of 2015 governorship election.
According to Ribadu, “the past disharmony within the ranks and file in
the party should be regarded as a family affair and our main aim now
is how to develop the state in whatever capacity we can”.
He expressed the hope that the Governor will lead the campaign team as
leader of the party in the state to success.
Among top party stalwarts that came to Yola with Ribadu were Senator
Bello Tukur, Senatorial candidates Jonathan Silas Zwingina and Idi
Hong.
