A governorship aspirant in Delta State, Mr. Votu Obada on Sunday, paid a visit to former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
Votu Obada, son of former Federal Commissioner for Works, Major-General Orho Obada (rtd.), is seeking to contest the 2015 elections on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was in Abeokuta to formally inform Chief Obasanjo of his ambition and also to get his blessing.
Describing him as a worthy ambassador, the ex- president said โI see in Obada a Governorship aspirant that would triumphโ.
Praising the young Obada for respecting elders, Obasanjo urged him to use his knowledge acquired through experience and education for the advancement of the country, particularly Delta State.
โYou have my blessings. I wish you the bestโ Obasanjo said.
In his response, the governorship aspirant thanked Obasanjo for his blessings.
In a related development, the governorship aspirant Monday met with Delta Professionals in Lagos.
Spokesperson of the group, Mr. Etajeruo Steve described Obada as the right candidate for the Delta State Government House.
โHe is endowed with all the qualities to bring about good governance in Delta Stateโ he said.
The group assured Obada of its support and also urged Deltans to queue behind him.
Obada is the Chief Executive Officer of Slimburg Limited.
