… As Over 2 Million Widows Endorse His 2015 Presidential Ambition

It was a missive crowd at the Alex Ekwueme Square Awka yesterday as women
and widows alike across the South-east and beyond joined hands in prayers
for the re-election of president GoodLuck Jonathan in 2015 following his
all-inclusive government that has religiously implemented the 35 percent
affirmative action for women .
The rally which enabled the women to publicly declare their stand for the
re-election of Dr.Jonathan for a second term in office was championed by a
non-governmental organization known as 4J in collaboration with Women For
Change and Development Initiative owned by the first lady of the federation
Dame Patience GoodLuck Jonathan.
The grand rally which featured speeches from various groups and individuals
equally saw the distribution of many bags of rice , sewing machines ,
hair-driers as well as of host other items to widows and indigent women
for self-employment purposes.
Chairman of 4J, Prince Barr. Ephraim Ilonze said the primary objective of
organizing the event was to use it as a platform to empower and alleviate
the sufferings of widows and the down-trodden in the s\ east and beyond.
According to him , 4J gathered over 10,000 widows and other indigent
citizens for the empowerment exercise by the wife of the president Dame
Patience GoodLuck Jonathan adding that the organization will leave no stone
unturned to ensure the re-election the president in 2015 .
Meanwhile the national coordinator and financier of 4J Prince Arthur Eze
recalled the horrible experienced of the Nigerian Civil War which according
to him has resulted in the prevalence of widows in the present day Nigeria
, assuring that the organization will cater for the widows to ameliorate
their plight.
Prince Eze stated that the wife of the president has agreed to empower the women by consolidating on her present gesture.
