2015: Awka North, South APGA Bigwigs Endorse Ezenagu Federal House Ambition

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), heavy weights in Awka North and South has unanimously resolved to support the candidature of Chief Godson Chukwuma Ezenagu (Ochendo Igbo), who will be vying for a seat at the lower chamber of the Federal House of Representatives come 2015, even as they cited poor representation from the past and present occupants as their main reasons.
Disclosing this to newsmen in Awka during the declaration of Chief Godson Ezenagu to represent the Awka North/South Federal Constituency on the National Assembly, the leader of the party in the area, Chief Austine Ndigwe said the area had for so long suffered untold hardship and unwarranted neglect owing to lack of proper representation noting that they would no longer fold their hands and allow mediocrity and people who are not APGA at heart to fly their flag.
Chief Ndigwe who attributed lack of Federal presence in the area to poor representation stated categorically that what informed their support for Chief Ezenagu candidature was the latter’s experience, die-hard spirit, large heart, genuine philanthropy and above all, what he was able to achieve during his time as Commissioner for Agriculture and rural development in Anambra State.
Earlier in a remark, the Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly and member representing Awka South II, Hon. Harford Ikechukwu Oseke who had just received vote of confidence from his constituents commended Chief Ezenagu’s determination to turn around the fortune of the people of the area as well as his resolved to bring the needed change and quality representation to the area and urged the people to support him adding that Ezenagu’s love for Awka  North/South Constituency knows to bounds.
Also speaking the executive chairman of Awka South Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Azubuike Iloh enjoined all to ensure the smooth passage of Chief Ezenagu to the National Assembly saying that he had worked so hard for the party and therefore deserved to be supported noting that Ezenagu’s popularity, achievements and down to earth attribute would fetch him the APGA ticket and consequently to win the election.
Contributing the APGA chairman in Awka South Hon. Tony Omeligwe Elee, vowed to mobilize support for Ezenagu noting that their commitment to his aspiration was total and also appealed to the good people of the area to turn out en-masse to support him.
In their separate speeches, the traditional ruler of Amansea, Igwe Kenneth Okonkwo; the traditional Prime Minister (Onowu) of Ebenebe, Hon. Joe Nwaegwu and the House of Assembly aspirant, Prince Mathias Arinze stated that they would canvass vigorously for Ezenagu whom they described as the man of the people adding that they would stop at nothing until result was achieved.
For her part, the immediate past Commissioner for Women’s Affairs Anambra State and Anambra State House of Assembly hopeful, Lady Henrietta Azuka Agbata, enjoined the women in the area to support Chief Ezenagu noting that he had distinguished himself in many fronts and had what it took to attract federal presence in the area as well as evenly distribute democracy dividends.
Speaking on behalf of the Fulani Community based in Awka North /South, the leader of the Fulani Community in Anambra State Alh. Gidado Siddiki described the emergence of Chief Godson Ezenagu as divine arrangement and pledge to support his ambition and assured him of their 100% votes.
Responding Chief Ezenagu thanked them for their support and encouragement and promised to live up to expectation.
