Following the resignation of the former Anambra Governor, Mr. Peter Obi as the Board of Trustee Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and the defection of over five Federal lawmakers from APGA to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra state, a PDP Chieftain, Hon. Zeribe Ezeanuna has said that such mass movement to PDP is an indication that APGA is on its way out of Anambra State, even as he described Obi and Umeh’s media war as child’s play that will do them no good.
Obi’s resignation as BOT chairman of APGA and active participation in the South East rally organised by the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) in Awka, Anambra State, which was believed to be a PDP affair has since then been generating a lot of heat and dissenting voices in Anambra state, as many APGA loyalist described the action of the former Governor as a betrayal, claiming that his acclaimed loyalty to the Biafran warlord, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu is on the lips and not on the heart.
Hon. Ezeanuna who is also the coordinator of G-7 Patriot International in Anambtra state lauds Peter Obi for his wise decision, saying that more big wigs from APGA will very soon declare in PDP.
On Gov. Willie Obiano’s comment on the defected members of APGA to PDP, Ezeanuna described the Governor as a political neophyte who is yet to understand the political sagacity in Anambra state and by extension, Nigeria..
He further disclosed that his group, G-7 Patriots has the mandate of ensuring that President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan continues after 2015 general elections in Nigeria.
“We want Mr. President to be re-elected so that the developmental transformation of Nigeria will continue and we intent to achieve this by partnering with other political groups like Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN)” he said.
