A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, Chief Eddy Asiegbu has scored Gov. Theodore Orji high in the area of security and youth empowerment.
Asiegbu told 247ureports.com in Umuahia that the governor has improved the lives of the citizenry through his people oriented programmes, especially in the area of security and youth empowerment.
The party chieftain added that the governor’s immense support to the security agencies in the state has continued to yield several fruits which includes the sustenance of peace and security as well as the arrest of over 486 suspected terrorists who had beaten all the security networks from North through Middle Belt only to be arrested in Aba.
He added that one of the policies for which the people of the state must continue to thank the governor is his numerous youths empowerment programmes which he said had seen many youths being breadwinners of their families.
Asiegbu who insisted that the empowerment programmes had contributed more in checkmating insecurity in the state, advised other governors to emulate Gov. Orji’s model in order to stem the tide of insecurity in the country.
“If you empower the youths, Boko Haram and other forms of insecurity like kidnapping, armed robbery will disappear. Gov. Theodore Orji’s youth empowerment policy has reduced crime rate in Abia state.”
