As the countdown to the 2015 general elections gathers momentum,those
with eyes for diverse elective positions are all over the place,busy
evolving diverse strategies with a view to emerging victorious at
their parties primary elections. The calculus keeps swinging as
gladiators and strategist are latching on to all available straws in
their bid to outwit perceived opponents. It will simply amount to
stating the obvious to decleare that 2015 election would be keenly
contested in all ramification across the country,Taraba State
inclusive. But in the midst of the entire hullabaloo,there are people
currently serving the nation in various capacities,whose antecedents
and performance in office speak eloquently about their capability to
deliver if given a higher responsibility. One of such person is
senator Emmanuel Bwacha. As the good people of Taraba state wait
expectantly for a successor to Governor Danbaba Danfulani Suntai,who
is to remove the shoes of leadership in the state on 29th, May 2015.
There are yearning across the State for senator Emmanuel Bwacha to
step forward to decleare his ambition for the coveted position,since
he is the only person with better shoe size that may fit properly and
adequatly and again considering his wealth of experience.
Born in 1962 in Donga Local Government Area of Taraba State. Senator
Emmanuel Bwacha has shown an increase obligation to his senatorial
district and dedication to move legislative performance. His show of
ambition and strength to move the legislature ahead on sustainable
course of improvement is remarkable and attention grabbing.
His consistent sterling performance in his administrative
career,admirable, self-carriage and effective presence in the National
Assembly has earned him many prestigious national and International
awards and accolades among which is the Commander of the order of the
Niger CON and many other leading awards.
Even in his present assignment as a senator of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria,his archevements are awe-inspiring of which,if numerated here
we can go on and on,but should be left for another day.
Since the advent of democracy in Nigeria in 1999,there are politicians
who have learnt and gained invaluable knowledge about the runing of
democracy. Senator Emmanuel Bwacha happens to be one of such
politician whose wealth of experience and understanding of democratic
values and dynamics should not be allowed to waste. It is for this and
many more reasons that the good people of Taraba State are beckoning
on him to throw his hat into the ring for the 2015 gubernatorial
contest. Pundits are of the opinion that it will amount to a great
disservice if the people of Taraba State fail to tap from the
reservoire of knowledge and experience that this humble but
strong-willed leader has ganered over the years. The State must not be
allowed to start afresh by being saddled with any inexperience up
start in 2015. No nation or State makes their devlopment a case for
trial and error by neophytes. Taraba State can not afford to start
learning process. It will amount to great backward mistake.
Considering senator Emmanuel Bwacha close relationship with the people
of the state,if the senator eventually yields to the cacophonous calls
of his people by joining the race for Taraba State Government House in
2015,surely he will be the candidate to beat.
