From Uche Onwuchekwa CPS To Deputy Governor
It is said that when a man realizes he is no match to his strong opponent, he resorts to face-saving means even if it means fighting with sands and chaffs with a view to covering his shame.
The above may not not be different from what is being experienced in Imo State from the detractors of Owelle Rochas Okorocha led Rescue Mission Government who have dwarfed his so called opponents with his five star performances in every sector of the State.
This face saving war is not also unconnected to the alleged claim that Imo Students Study under Trees as captioned on 247ureports and other online platforms last Friday, July 11, 2014, which has been uncovered as untrue and wicked plot by detractors to soil the good image of Owelle Rochas Okorocha led administration.
The attention of Imo State government was drawn to the said report, which painted a worrisome picture of a helpless situation where students of Comprehensive Secondary School in Atta Njaba in Njaba Local Government had no conducive accommodation to study in.
In his tradition of best service oriented leadership style, Imo number two citizen, Prince Eze Madumere promptly visited the school only to re-ascertain that it was an obvious handiwork of enemies of the people. He was accompanied by the Commissioner for Education ( Secondary) Dr. Mrs Uche Ejiogu and the Njaba LGA T.C Chairman
On arrival to the Comprehensive Secondary School Atta Njaba which is the purported school , the senior prefect of the school, Master Samual Okoro in confidence told the deputy governor and his entourage that a mischief maker who is also a politician had deceived the school when he gathered them for a group photograph under a tree sometime this year, which he wondered why it should be used for negative motif.
In his remark, Prince Madumere reminded the public that Rescue Mission government had inherited a dilapidated structure in that school but on assumption of office, Owelle Rochas Okorocha government did not hesitate in building another facility to accommodate the students.
His words, “it may interest one to know that before the inception of this administration, one of these school buildings got dilapidated and on assumption of office of this government an 8 classroom block was erected to replace the dilapidated one and as such the students were all well accommodated in the new blocks. It is most disheartening and beats one’s imagination how some disgruntled Imo citizens could concoct lies aimed at deceiving innocent students and citizens of Imo state.”
The deputy governor reiterated Owelle Rochas Okorocha administration’s resolve to give Imo people the best in Education even as Education has continued to be free in the state. He further said no amount of blackmail or falsehood can defocus the Rochas Okorocha led administration.
