Information reaching 247ureports.com indicates that the impeachment move initiated by the Nasarawa State house of assembly two days ago have resulted to the death of three persons today.
Following yesterday’s impromptu protest by a pro-Al Makura group, the Nigerian military swooped into the state capital to checkmate the protest from growing into a riot. The military took over the State assembly.
However, today saw another protest from more groups believed to be sympathetic to the Governor of Nasarawa State, Malam Tanko Al Makura. The protest was reported to be grander and more volatile compared to the protests of yesterday. According to unverified information, the protests resulted to the killing of three or four persons. The details around their deaths are not immediately available.
The governor of Nasarawa State remains in Abuja where he has been seek audience with the President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
