A man in his late thirties escaped naked from a moving car in which the men of Nigeria Police Force were conveying him to the station in Owerri, the Imo State on Sunday.
The young man who was rounded by more than five police officers around Njemanze Street by Douglas Road Owerri, resisted arrest by the police even he was hit with a gun butts by the cops.
Though, neither the suspect nor the police could say the offence committed, but, the suspect held firmly unto a bus parked beside him, while the policemen intensified effort to getting his grip off the bus.
This created a scene that somehow made the police officers softened their beating on the man.
However, the officers finally succeeded in getting his grip off the bus but could not still cuff him while the young man insisted he was going nowhere with them and preferred to be taken away dead.
He was however bundled into an Etisalat branded car where a female officer with them attempted spraying tear gas on his face, when he calmed down to go with them.
But, by the time the policemen could drive to the popular Ama Jk, the young man slid the door of the car open and ran away stark naked.
The policemen gave him a hot chase, but he was already gone.
