A group working for the actualization of the
presidential ambition of Governor Isa
Yuguda of Bauchi State, the National
Concerned Professionals, has said it would
soon commence a nation-wide consultation.
The group, made up of intellectuals rooting
for the Bauchi governor, noted that
Yuguda’s presidential bid had received
‘enormous support’.
Coordinator of the group, Dr Muhammad
Chindo, disclosed this when associations of
market men and women from all parts of
the country paid him a solidarity visit, a
statement by the group stated.
According to Chindo, Yuguda has achieved a
lot in the areas of education, grassroots
empowerments and developments and
proactive security measures, but lamented
that they were grossly under reported in
the media.
Chindo said the professional organization
“would soon embark on nationwide
consultation with key political stakeholders
based on the enormous support it had
received pertaining the clamour for
Yuguda’s presidency”.
The statement said more interest and
political groups have endorsed Yuguda to
contest the 2015 presidential primaries of
the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
