Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State has congratulated Mr Ayodele Fayose of the People’s Democratic Party over his resounding victory in the Ekiti State gubernatorial elections.
Chime in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary Chukwudi Achife described Mr Fayose election as a not only a victory for the PDP but a triumph for democracy and the will of the people as expressed through the ballot box.
He further commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies for ensuring a free and fair contest.
Governor Chime further praised the maturity and sportsmanship of Governor Kayode Fayemi in conceding defeat to his opponent shortly after the results were announced.
