Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has appointed former associates of the former governor of the state, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau as commissioners.
They are Malam Ibrahim Khalil who was the former head of the Islamic council in the state and governorship aspirant under the platform of All Nigeria People’s Congress, ANPP.
The other appointee is the former commissioner of information under Shekarau and his strong ally, Yusif Dederi.
The duo are going to serve under the Judicial Service Commission as permanent commissioners for the next five years.
The appointees have pledged their loyalty to Governor Kwankwaso and to remain in All Progressives Congress (APC).
Meanwhile, Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso has sent the name of Nasiru Yusif Gawuna to the state House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioner. He is also from Nasarawa local government area like former Governor Shekarau.
Nasarawa is also the local government area of the former commissioner of agriculture, Dr Baraka Sani who recently resigned her position and joined the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP).
