Dangote sugar factory in kaugama local government area hadejia emirate
in jigawa state to employ 24,000 people next year. Out of the said
number of people, 9400 will produce the sugar cane as raw
materials and 8000 will supervise the activities of the sugar cane
farming as well as production of sugar in the factory
Alhaji Aliko dangote stated this today shortly after paying courtesy
call to Jigawa state governor Alhaji sule lamido at government house
in Dutse.
4000 people are expected to be permanent staff of the
company – when it fully becomes operational.
Gote further stated that with the establishment of the company in the
state it will help the state economically and also reduce the number
of unemployed youth roaming in the street. He called on the Jigawa state
government to allocate more land for him for the production of rice in
the state
He explained that number of population in
the world will multiply therefore there is need for production of more
food to protect our country from hunger assuring that his company will
start paying condensation to people in kaugama area where their land
was confisicated for sugar cane plantation
In his remark, the emir of hadejia Alhaji Adamu Abubakar maje hadejia
said his people are respecting him assuring that nobody will protest
over the issue of land. He assured for his people support and cooperation
for the existence of the project in the area.
He explained further that his council will continue educating the people
in the area about the important of the project and the benefit that
will bring to people and the state in general
Also governor sule lamido thanked dangote for his effort to establish sugar
cane factory in the state saying that with the establishment of the
company in the state it will reduce the menace of poverty and it will
boost the economy of the state and at the same time will reduce the
number of unemployed youth in the state
