The believe of many that the death knows nothing seems not to be in the dictionary of Mrs. Deborah Chinwe Ogo, the President and Founder of Arrows of God Community Children’s Home which situates at GRA, Onitsha Anambra State as the woman said to have touched hundreds of less privilege’s lives in the society during a chat with 247ureports vowed to keep speaking even after death
Speaking during the opening ceremony of the tailoring institute in the charity home, the woman at her late seventies said speaking after death can be achieved through the children she brought up in the less privileged organization, beating her chest that over thirty youths has graduated in various universities through her care to the needy.
The 16-year-old woman in charity work to humanity however disclosed that her furthermost joy on earth remains touching the lives of every child in need, adding that she at no time expected reward from any man but God.
Condemning the high rate of child trafficking as well as child abuse in the entire southeast states, the mother to the needy however calls for capital punishment for any person(s) involved in child trafficking in Nigeria. She was of the view that the best way of nipping the menace on board was for government to be fully involved in day-day running activities of Community Children’s Homes
On why she decided to invest in human capacity building instead of banking her hope in finding green pastures like some of her colleagues in the society, Mrs. Ogo said her action was in line with vow o God, noting that she has no regret in giving aids to those she is better of than.
“Let me make it clear, with the type of education and other skills God used me and the rest members of Arrows of God Orphanage Home to achieve within theses past 16 years, I know wherever theses children whom we have touched their lives positively speaks in any part of the world, it is me that is speaking then even though am I dead. As of today, we have up to thirty graduates we trained through our charity groups and we are grateful to God” She said.
Commenting, one of the beneficiaries from the compassionate, Paul Olabade who graduated from one of the universities and currently serving his nation through NYSC concord with Mrs. Ogo even as the mathematician graduate said;” Even if mama dies today, she is going to keep speaking through us. This is for the fact that this woman has done much in the lives of many youths across the nation” Paul stated.
In his speech, the Director for Child Development in Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs, Mr. Emeka Ejide tasked the woman not to join the bad wagons that has portrayed the state as a centre for modern slave trade. The Director said the Ministry will not hesitate to clamp down on any Community Children’s Home that falls prey to the rule of the game.
Ejide who represented the Commissioner for Women Affairs in the State nodded and stated that their office has done well in their hot chase against the child traffickers in Anambra State, calling on everyone to join the war against the criminals who sees modern day salivary as the best business.
