Gov. Theodore Orji will on Saturday be honoured with the Equity Keeping Governor award by the Ngwa Patriots Forum.
247ureports.com gathered that the award will be formally conferred on the governor at a Special Summit on 5th April, 2014 at the Women Development Centre, Umuahia.
According to a statement signed by the group’s President, Okey Ahiwe and Secretary, Peter Nwaguru, the award is in recognition of the governor’s outstanding achievements in the areas of good governance, restoration of security, legacy development projects as well as his avowed determination to hand over power to the Ukwa/ Ngwa zone in 2015.
It will be recalled that the Ngwa Patriots Forum which is a socio-cultural platform with interest in the development of Ngwa land has organized several summits and town hall meetings in various cities to close ranks in the quest for a proper placement of the Ngwa nation in the politics of Abia state and Nigeria.
