Niger State Governor, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has declared his intention to contest for the senatorial seat of Niger East come 2015 as he conceded to his people who requested him to continue to offer his service to the people of the state.
Aliyu made the disclosure yesterday while the turbaned chiefs of Minna Emirate council paid him Easter homage in government house, Minna, saying:”I have been consulted to run for Senate, but have not agreed yet, I don’t plan for it but God plans for me, you all know how I emerged in 2007 as governor as well as House of Representative during Shagari”.
He urged people to be security conscious and informed security agencies at appropriate time before it could get out of hands even as he enjoined them to judge people based on character not by tribe or other sentiments
