As land speculations tops all other ugly businesses does in Anambra state today, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO attached to 3-3 Police Division in Oyi Local Government area of the state, CSP John Mark has been fingered to have left securing lives and property of the citizenry and submerged into land speculation, therefore reducing the sound image of the police force already boasted by the hardworking Inspector General of Police, Mr. Abubarkar.
The alleged unethical behavior of the DPO is dated back to 5th day of February, 2014 when the senior police officer was said to have aligned himself with land speculators at 3-3 community and allegedly evicted a widow, Mrs. Theresa Obi of her landed property and sold same to Senator Joy Emordi, the action said to have reduced the life span of the aged widow.
Although a police source at 3-3 police division quoted the embattled DPO of claiming that he went into land business to enable him meet up with his weekly “Returns” to the state police authorities in Awka. The unreliable source also stated that CSP John Mark who was redeployed from the state police command Headquarters to 3-3 police station recently sees his present division as a way of belittling him considering his experiences in police force.
When the son of the widow, Mr. Nnamdi Ugochukwuobiaku challenged the shocking attitude of the swindlers, the DPO is accused to have sent his well armed police personnel led by one Jacob who acted as the Investigation Police Officer, IPO and on getting to the site, the police officers and other hoodlums working for the divisional officer gave the son of the widow the highest beating of his life.
Narrating his ordeal in the hands of the people said to be working on the back page of the police Act, Mr. Ugochukwuobiaku who spoke to 247urports.com from his hospital bed in one of the hospitals in Asaba, Delta State said that when his attention was drawn to the trace-passing into their landed property by one Akaoma Ojiowulu and Anthony Arinze, he reported the matter to the police.
“The DPO who is working in synergy with Akaoma Ojiowulu, Anthony Arinze and a staff of the Ministry of Works, Mr. Victor Menkiti, turned the case against me, this was after Mr. Ojiowulu gave the DPO undisclosed sums of money with the assurance that they are going to update their daily returns to the number one policeman in 3-3 community” Nnamdi Ugochukwuobiaku alleged.
After beating Nnamdi Ugochukwuobiaku into coma stage despite the fact that he was their compliant, it was learnt that the police not even conducting investigation into his compliant, quickly rushed him to Nteje Magistrate Court aimed at reminding him in prison so that they will have the full time of perfecting their dirty deals with the one time senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Joy Emordi.
Within the court premises, it was gathered that Nnamdi Ugochukwuobiaku fell down and vomited blood and immediately the Investigation Police Officer, IPO and the persecutor took their victim to a hospital at Umunya in Oyi council area where they abandoned him. On noticing the development, the relations of Ugochukwuobiaku went in to save the life of their brother by transferring him on the approval of the IPO to one of the hospitals in Asaba Delta
On the authenticity of the property in question that was allotted to Mrs. Theresa Obi in 1985 by the Federal Ministry of Lands and Survey, the man his doctor at Asaba said was responding to treatment when this reporter visited the hospital went further and condemned both the actions of the senior police officer and that of the senator, wondering why the property that was duly allotted to his mother for over thirty years now should be in dispute between the duos in crime and his aged mother. He however urged the police authorities in Nigeria to kindly call their staff to order before they eliminate him and the rest members of his family.
Efforts made to reach Senator Joy Emordi at the time of filling this report failed but close source within her husband said that the senator have no hands in the act of the land swindlers while the Police Area Commander in Onitsha when contacted for comment said he was hearing the matter for the first time from 247ureportes .com but promise to investigate the matter to its full veranda.
